Childhood with Quarter Horses
Kenneth “Kenny” Roberts, Sr. was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and he attended high school in Texas. He became connected to horses through his uncle, Anthony Davis. Roberts helped train Quarter Horses by the time he was in high school. He spent most of his career in Louisiana.1
Career Highlights
Roberts has trained Quarter horses that competed in 13,000 races, recording over 2,300 wins and $33.5 million in winnings.2 Delta Downs in Vinton, Louisiana considers Roberts an icon, where he has won at least six training titles there. With a keen eye and great feel for the next winner, Roberts attends the annual Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association yearling sale.3
Current Horse Farm
Roberts trains horses farm he owns in Mauriceville, Texas. He continues to race throughout the South.4
